SUBMISSION

We are excited to announce that submissions are now open for the 6th Annual Nova Star Awards Youth Oscars Gala, taking place on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

1. Please submit a workable link (vimeo or youtube unlisted) without a password!

2. Please select your best clip up to 3 minutes maximum (do not include full movies/episodes).

3. Only 1 submission maximum per category (please select your best work).

4. When sending a video link to your work, please include a headshot with your name and project name at the beginning of your video. For voice work you must include a picture of your character at the beginning of your video. This is so our judges can identify you.

5. When submitting, please submit under the performer’s name only.

To be eligible to submit a nomination, the young performer must have been between the ages of 4-19 at the time of the filming.

Please ensure you have all the required information including video links before submitting.

Deadline

All submissions must be received by July 15, 2026.

IMPLEMENTATION STRUCTURE

Each award category will be divided into the following age brackets to ensure fair competition and age-appropriate judging across all categories:

• Junior Division: Ages 4–9
• Intermediate Division: Ages 10–13
• Senior Division: Ages 14–19

All participants will compete within their respective age division for each award category.

* Best Performance: Film

Combines Feature, Indie, Short, and Student Films into one high-prestige category.

* Best Performance: TV & Web

Combines all episodic content including Series Regular, Recurring, Guest Star, and Web Series performances.

* Best Performance: Live Theatre

Recognizes outstanding stage performances including musical theatre and dramatic productions.

* Best Ensemble

Celebrates exceptional group performances across Film, TV, Theatre, Commercial, and Digital Media.

* Best Voice Performance

Animation, dubbing, narration, and commercial voiceover performances combined.

* Commercial Excellence

Recognizes both speaking and non-speaking commercial performances.

* Rising Creator

Honours young talent in filmmaking, directing, screenwriting, editing, and content creation.

* Digital Creator of the Year

Recognizes standout creators across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and digital platforms.

* Best YouTube Series

Celebrates original youth-created or youth-led YouTube series and episodic content.

* Best TikTok Channel

Recognizes creativity, performance, storytelling, and audience engagement on TikTok.

* Best Instagram Page

Celebrates strong visual branding, creativity, influence, and digital storytelling on Instagram.

* Best Self-Tape

Includes dramatic, comedic, entertainment, and blooper self-tapes.

* Novalogue Award

A standalone showcase award recognizing exceptional personality, charisma, storytelling, and originality.
